Running a red light?

The other day i was driving in the car with my bofriend. we were talking and i did not notice the red light. i went through and pretty much cut off a guy trying to pull out from a side street. he followed me into the shaws parking lot and i think he wrote down my plate number or something cuz he pulled in behind me and my bf went outside like 5 min after we went in the store and he was gone. can i get a ticket just becasue he reports me running the light?? I mean if i could whats to stop people from falsly reporting people they just didn't like??

don,t worry about it! the police won,t track you down and give you a ticket just because he told them, and as for giving your license number to the police, they can say he has something against you, but be careful, because the police could be looking out for you.

No, he may TRY, but unless there was a camera on top of the light that takes your picture as you run the red light -- or a cop saw you, there's no way for you to get a ticket for this. It's just your word against his. He may TRY, but he won't get far.

Next time, be more aware though -- you're lucky that no one got hurt.

I HATE people who run red lights and I'm afraid I have absolutely no sympathy for you, especially since you nearly caused a smash, you deserve a ticket for that. I speak from personal experience, I got side rammed by some moron in a Mercedes running a red light at excessive speed and it caused me considerable personal problems. You should have your attention on the road at all times so that you don't miss important things such as red lights, too many people nowadays take too many liberties on the road, the rules seem to have been forgotten.

No. His word is not sufficient for you to get a ticket. He was probably trying to provke a fight. Or he called the police and tried to get them to come , but they never showed.
