Question:

Running again?

I've recently begun to exercise again by slowly starting on running after three long years of no exercise. I'd like to know if I should do a brisk walk/jog each day, since I am feeling slight soreness from my legs, or should I take a day off and let legs heal for a day before continuing?

  1. Your "soreness" in your legs is acctually an acid  that has built up because of starting to run again.Bikeing will deplete that acid from your legs.Starting out with a walk  then eventually running is good.

You can take a day or two off.

But don't take too many days off day off. Every day you dont run/walk(or whatever you trying to build up to) you lose the days that you did run/walk.Which puts you back to where you started.

    And remember STRECH,STRECH, STRECH!

  2. Alternate days running and walking, and walk after running to cool down.  Also stretch well after running.  You will feel some soreness at first because you haven't been exercising for a long time.
