Question:

Running and heart rate, will it stay the same?

I run 2 miles every other day but I want to stop doing this until my pool opens on memorial day. When my pool opens I will swim every other day instead of run. I wanted to know if I stop running will my heart rate get worse and will I gain weight?

Thanks

  1. With such a short period of time it should hardly effect you at all. If you went straight back to running 2 miles, your endurance would be a little lower than it was, but not much.

  2. Two weeks is not a very long time, your cardiovascular conditioning is not going to suffer very much.

I doubt your heart rate is going to change, and you weight depends on how many calories you eat.
