  1. Great tracks for running to:

Long slow distance: "Every Move You Make", Police, and most Dire Straits stuff. ZZ Top and Bad Company are good too!

For that adrenaline rush: "Bat Out of h**l", Meatloaf, and any uptempo Led Zep or Who.

  2. YES!! i love running wih my ipod and I always listen "pump up" songs before a race because it get my heart pumping.

    some faves:

    "Top Back" by T.I.

    "Feelin' Myself" by Dolla

"Get Crunk Shorty" by Nick Cannon

    "TNT" by AC/DC

  3. Definitely! It always helps me.

  4. It does but it also can make you run faster and make yourself tired and sore, so make sure you keep a steady pace.

  5. it does for me. especially like really good rock. sometimes rap :)

  6. yes it does!  i cant even run without my ipod.  listening to music while i run makes the time go faster.

  7. It can, though I dont like running head phones in - it isolates you from the world you are passing through.

Some races have bands on the route, or speakers as you go and that does motivate me, if there arnt any and I need a boost then I use the voices in my head to sing to me

  8. Yes definately!! Dance music for me- I could not run without it!

  9. It really varies by person. If you don't run often, I would suggest listening to music during your runs; it helps distract you from the monotony of running and the pain you may feel.

Any upbeat or inspiring songs are great to run to. I don't suggest playing any extremely fast, exciting songs unless you're doing speedwork. I just skimmed my iPod playlist, and here are some good songs to listen to while running:

Eye of the Tiger-Rocky Theme Song

    Run It-Chris Brown

    What You Got-Colby O'Donis

    Face Down-The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus

    Pocketful of Sunshine-Natasha Bedingfield

    Low-Flo Rida

    Break the Ice-Britney Spears

    Never Again-Kelly Clarkson

In Love with a Girl-Gavin Degraw

    Feels Like Tonight-Daughtry

    All Around Me-Flyleaf

    Love in this Club-Usher

    Barbie Girl-Aqua...haha:)

  10. not further but faster

  11. Absolutely! Some good songs are:

    Kelly Clarkson-Walk Away

    Rolling Stones-Jumpin' Jack Flash

  12. yes farther and faster i love to listen to my ipod when i run. i listen to a lot of hard rock when i run its so motivational! :]

  13. music doesn't motivate me to run further as much as imagining how angry the coach would be if we stopped early or how running further could help me improve my time

  14. Absolutely!

    I can't run without music.

I usually listen to techno/trance music that keeps me going and fills me with energy.
