Not actually running away, I'm 20. But I'm bored with life here in Virginia and I'm leaving soon. Just wondering if there was anyone else in my position?

  1. i did it when i was 22 (im 26 now).  stayed for 3 years and ended up moving later for a boyfriend :)  i had a great time there.  its not nearly as hard to live as they say.  its not overly expensive, etc etc

    good luck and have fun!

  2. I wish I could! haha.. I'm in NJ ... it's okay here, being that I'm close to NYC. I want to run away to california too :) reminds me of that metro station song haha ... wish i could go to ucla or something :P

  3. I think a great majority of people in the world want to do that, u arent the only one,  ITS BEEN LIKE THAT FOR HUNDREDS OF YEARS,  Dont think u are the only one bored or havinng problems,,,,,,,welcome to life.

  4. For me, it seems like everyone's going to Cali. Most of my high school friends are there...and now I feel like going there too cuz it's closer to home. :/

  5. California is traditional premium destination for runaway and some alternative life style due to warm weather and liberal attitude. There is a history, even in gold rush period, in east coast, regular worker was paid by $1 per day, San Francisco paid $3 to attract a lot of people to wild west. And there was a lot of stories about west means adventure,  fortune,  gold opportunity, go San Francisco area to be an executive of high tech,  go Los Angeles to be a film star,  go Las Vegas to win a lottery.  California has been recorded over 80 years of fast growing, and it brings Phoenix and Las Vegas( used to be very small desert towns) to be fastest growing cities.
