  1. You should start with whatever you are able to do. Then increase the distance a half mile or the time by five minutes every week. Some weight training will also help make you stronger to get up those tough hills or finish strong.

  2. we have conditioning too (im in XC as well) suring the summer and our coach has dif. schedules for different days and how far u are in training and stuff. so ur coach should no whats best for u individually and how to stick to ur training so u could go talk to him/her and find out what u should be doing and he.she might be able to make up a schedule kinda thing. either way try to keep training and dont lag behind in ur conditioning over family visiting which can be tempting bc ull loose all that uve been working for. good luck in XC this yr :-)

  3. Start running a mile a day

Next week, run 2 miles a day

Next week, try 2,5 miles a day

    Next week, try 3 miles

Run 5 out of the 7 days of the week. Stretch well

Go a good fast speed that you can keep up for at least a half an hour.

    good luck

  4. i suggest not running on a treadmill because it reall does nothing your better off running outside where you'll actually get in shape. a treadmill is like a fake out you think your getting in shape but your not.

Then you should increase your mileage and since your just starting out do a easy 30 minute run every other day do a mile and then increase your milage each week this wil get you more aerobically fit and in shape!!
