I am trying to have better form, when running are you suppose to lean forward, or run with a striaght back. And is it best to run on the ball of your foot rather than the whole thing.

  1. Run with you back straight, aligned with your hips, looking straight ahead, shoulders relaxed, arm swing matching your strides.  Slouching can cause sore back and high shoulders can cause tension, pain in the neck/shoulder. Everybody runs a little differently, runners can correct your over/underpronation.  As for your feet, low to the ground, short strides, landing near mid section of your foot and toe off. Run lightly on your feet - less sound the better.

  3. u r sposed to run good, not bad like a sloth

  4. well it depends whether you're running long distance or short distance

if it's long distance, you should run with your whole foot and have pretty long strides

    you should also pace yourself

if it's short distance, however, you should just run on the ball of the foot, like you indicated, and have shorter steps than the long distance

when you're competing in running events and one of the other runners are really close to you, you should lean in because they'll count you as the first person even if your nose comes in before the other person's nose

but other than the end of a neck-to-neck race, you should run with a straight back

you don't want to lean in for the whole race because then you're not going to be able to pace yourself
