  1. It depends on what is injured. You don't want to make it worse by running on it and have to stop running for a longer time! Check with a doctor who runs...a doctor who doesn't run is likely to just tell you to stop. Good luck!

  2. huh?

  3. it really depends on the injury. did you break a bone, sprang an ankle, have pain in your joints, soreness in your calves?

it's best to wait until the pain subsides if it's a small injury and then you can run. but if its something a bit serious wait a few days after the injury has healed.

  4. If its a running injury, no...you should ice it (15-20 minutes 3X/day), rest from running till you recover.  It really does depend on your injury.  If you continue to run on a sprain/muscle tear you will do more damage.  Over use injuries, just cut back abit and cross train (cycle/swim/yoga/etc).  Do strengthening exercises and stretches to prevent future injuries.

Agian, it depends on your injury...vague question to answer.

  5. It all depends on how injured your.

I have shin splints/stress fractures (not sure yet) and I still run despite discouragement.

  6. depends on what it is

its ok to take a week off, you can recover faster than running thru it

  7. Depending how long your regime is and it's always safer to consult with your doctor b4 continuing long-term running.

    Safety is always an issue.
