  1. Two most important things to prevent injuries.

    Shoes and stretch.

If you don't have the right shoe, your feet, ankles, shins, knees will be done in about week or two. You need to have proper fitting shoes.

Go to your local running shop and they will measure your feet to help you find the right fit for you.

Stretch, make sure you stretch at least 5 minutes after every run or else your asking for an injury.

  2. you need ot get shoes that have good cushioning typically the more expensive ones when ur running land midsole to toe and push off landing on ur heels could cause u to roll your ankles and injure urself running too much is no such thing there is running too much too fast though wich will cause shin splints and plantar fascitis make sure ur runnign arms at 90 degree angle and never cross midbody be careful not too run in woods and dont run over loose rocks and such watch out for holes!

  3. yes

    listen to your body

    while you want to push

because that is how you get faster

if youve got a pain thats not just soreness and it remains when your not running for 3-4 days its probably best to take a day or 2 off

    it wont hurt

most people believe that you should take atleast one day a week off

  4. Yeah it's true, but you can take precautions to prevent it as well.  I used to run on the streets in my neighborhood but I kept twisting my ankles because of the uneven ground and potholes and whatnot.  Now I run on a cork track and it saves loads on my knees and ankles.  Make sure to get a pair of decent running shoes, and warm up and cool down.  I start by walking a mile first, then I stretch, then I run 2 miles, and cool down by walking another half mile, then I stretch again.  I have been injury free since I started doing that.

  5. If you streach properly, then you will rarly ever get injuries...

  6. Without the right shoes or insoles to correct things such as under/over pronation can add stress to other parts of the body such as the knees, ankles, or hips. Wearing the right shoes and stretching correctly will help to minimize injuries.
