-Love to run as a stress reliever and energy boost

- Female, 130lbs and 5'2" (want to lose about 10-15 lbs)

DILEMMA:

Inherited dad's lovely short, stumpy, manly looking legs!!

I have been doing lunges and squats (and running) to tone my legs. But they are still flabby!! I'll admit I am scared to use leg weights because they tend to make my legs bulkier. Any advice??

  1. How much and how long have you been running? When I started off, it took about 4 months to see my body/legs shape up.

Running is the best way to slim the legs.

  2. If your legs are truly flabby it took some time for them to get that way thus it'll take some time to slim them down.  Weights will help boost your metabolism....If you don't want to look bulky do lighter weights with more reps.

  3. i wouldnt try the leg weights - those things ruin you if used excessively

your legs probably wont change their shape but you will definitely get faster

    beauty is only skin deep

  4. They're called running legs for a reason. Just keep up the running or you can try weight lifting with lighter weights and more reps.

  5. For losing weight and/or sliming down, you are doing right with long distance running. Endurance will wear down the fat gradually and tone your legs.

Keep up the long distant running with stretching before and after your workouts. You can use weights, just don't add heavy stuff and keep the interval numbers up. For example using 15-25 pounds with 10 reps in 2-3 intervals.

Keep doing your other exercies you mentioned, lunges.

  6. dont eat as much and keep running
