  1. It's all about catching the person ahead of you.  Never forget that.

  2. this sounds ridiculous but honestly, i pretend like there is a killer behind me and if i stop he's gonna kill me. haha i've been in track for three years and its gotten me through a handful of meets.

oh and i also repeat that phrase in that kanye west song. "what doesn't kill me, will only make me stronger."

    lol hope this helps

  3. well heres what i tell myself,

theres a reason why you keep coming back, something in you is saying this is what you want, that is what your gonna do, this is what your good at. so relly think hard about the reason you keep coming back.

  4. watch this and remembered during the race.

"The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows. It's a very mean and nasty place... and I don´t care how tough you are, it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently, if you let it. You, me or nobody, is gonna hit as hard as life. But ain't about how hard you hit... It's about how hard you can get hit, and keep moving forward... how much you can take, and keep moving forward. That´s how winning is done. Now, if you know what you worth, go out and get what you worth. But you gotta be willing to take the hits. And not pointing fingers saying: You ain´t what you wanna be because of him or her or anybody. Cowards do that and that ain´t you! You´re better than that!"

IT HELP ME, I HOPE IT HELPS YOU TOO.

  5. Every time I run in a race, whether it's a 5k, 10k or marathon, I think to myself during the race "why am I doing this? I'm never running in a race again!". But I always do. I sign up for another race as soon as I get home....I think it's more of the rush we get after the run that makes us feel good. Not to mention it keeps us in good shape. Trust me, just take a week off from running, and you won't be able to wait to get back to it. Just think to yourself during your run, "I'm fortunate to be able to run, I'm not injured, I'm healthy, and it's going to feel real good when I'm done." "Every day, in every way, I get better and better." or...."This pain is just weakness leaving my body"...
