  1. grass concrete will give you shine splints

  2. Benefits of running on grass:  much less stress on joints, minimizes shin splints,  helps develop abs (when doing speed work).  Generally much better regarding overall stress on legs.

Drawbacks of running on grass: risk spraining ankles if surface is pretty uneven, and your ankles are not strong.  Slows you down (only matters if you're running with someone who's on the hard surface).

Running on concrete is easier, but not good in the long run (literally).

I've been running for 30 years.  No kidding.  Always run on the beach or the grass.  No joint problems.  My Dr. is amazed.

  3. run on glass!

  4. if you are wearing proper footwear and using proper running techniques , it shouldn't matter what surface you run on .

    if it's grass , just be sure it isn't wet/damp .

  5. concrete for an easier way grass to make it harder

  6. I think grass is better overall, but I've always found running barefoot on concrete easier for short stints. I don't know why.

  7. yes it will..... the only big difference is that it is way better on your joints

  8. for soccer, when i ran on concrete i got horrible shin splints

    i recommend running on grass

    shin splints suck

  9. running is  running but the grass is softer so it not as bad on your joints as concrete i suggest grass

  10. Running on concrete is *very* hard on your joints.  Grass is better because it's less of an impact.

  11. Grass but do not only train on grass try different surfaces like gravel, sand, turf, concrete, etc...

  12. I don't like grass, I get nervous about stepping in a hole or over uneven ground and twisting my ankle.

  13. concrete is easier to run on in terms of actual exercise. But grass is better for your joints concrete is a little hard on them

  14. grASS

  15. Yes running on concrete is very bad for your knees.  Run on grass because it has a cusion that you need for your knees because i have ran on concrete n my knees would hurt very bad.

  16. I happen to think running on concrete is a lot easier, and grass is harder to run in, mostly for the reason its bumpy and uneven. There's also the possibility of holes you could step in and break your ankle.

  17. it is harder to run on grass than it is to run on concrete/asphalt

  18. grass is better by far

  19. running is running no matter where you run but yeah I would suggest grass instead of concrete! It kills your joints!!

  20. My opinion is that concrete is more easier to run on.
