im trying to lose alittle weight in the thighs and shape them out so ive been going on the treadmill every other day.. but i also am a ice skater and i do synchronized skating and we had a camp this past week.. and we had a nutrition class and the nutrition person said if women run alot..its not that good for them cause they lose their b***s and their arms become man-like. is this true? also should i do interval training on the treadmill.. walk run..walk..run faster..walk..run faster.. like that? because the nutrition person said it can burn more calories. is any of this stuff true? btw..i've been running a mile every other day and i just wanna know if i should change to intervel training so i dont get man arms or lose my b***s.

  1. Oh man, well the interval training does tend to burn more calories and increase your cardio, but no, your arms will not get bigger and your b***s won't decrease unless you are a huge runner (trialathon/marathon athlete). Your arms won't get bigger unless you weight train them. Don't know where the nutritionist got that from.

If you are doing interval training, you can do it by walking/jogging (beginner wise), walking/sprinting, jogging/sprinting (advanced).  The point is to make your body realize that it is working a lot at diff paces. You just need to have a dramatic increase when working out.

Check out www.runnersworld.com for some interval programs on the treadmill.

If you are only running 1-2 mi every other day, you will not lose your b***s and your arms won't get bigger...hope this helps.
