  1. Every week that you have off from running you loose a bit of fitness - and you are experiencing that now. Each week off takes a few days to recover. 3 weeks and with running you should take 10 days or so to regain your fitness.

Start off slower and go steady to get the distance stamina back then go for regaining your speed.

Keep at it and you will get back to where you were before your break

  2. you are probably just overdoing it a little after your 3 week break. maybe take a day off or run slower every third day. you will be back up to your old speeds in no time. good luck - hope it helps.

  3. I used to have the same thing - some days I could run for ages, no probs. Other days I could run but had to push myself, other days it was like I was carrying leadweights and I used to be annoyed at myself for not managing to run all the four fields and back.

I realised that sometimes I was pushing myself too much - I started to relax a little, have one day when I'd run 'all out' and others when I'd take it at a slightly slower pace and this did the trick.

It's also nutrition, I found days when I'd eaten a lot of good carbs (which you think would make you bloated) gave me extra energy, however, carbs like noodles and rice had the opposite effect.

  4. Just got to push it you probably know this anyway but get plenty of carbs in you

  5. Thats the hardest part of being a runner...after few weeks break and resume running again, just like doing it all over again from the start..first you have to slow practice 1-3 days like do the stretching, walk, jog and few runs and if you think your energy level increase then increase the intensity in the coming days.

Don't push too hard to practice, you will only feel burned out. Don't pressure yourself coz your doing it for a purpose..

I think what you need is motivation. What you need to do is constantly remind yourself about your goal. so that it is real and it cannot efface itself and you cannot cower away from it.

Try to think of some different new ways to spice things up and keep motivated

  6. just take your time and set goals for you self
