ok so im starting crosscountry in a week or so and i was wondering if you'd get like builted or toned up. i really wanna be toned and a little built, but i dont wanna be like hugely built or whatever lol, so will i be toned when i run this year or built?

  1. lol you dont have to worry about all that in XC. i am not sure watever or not ur school does weight room or not but it depends on ur couch but i belive ur couch will focus more on the core and legs then ur uppper strenght. also i am sure ur couch will make u do core workout like abs and pushups sooooo yea u will get tone but not as much of a built up


  2. Your coach will probably have you do some strength work.

    A runner shouldn't have a built body. Upper body like biceps and triceps should be huge, but should be proportional with the rest of your body.

    Your coach will definitely focus on your core. So abs will be worked on.

    Other than that, theres not much.

  3. You're not going to get hugely built up. Runners are usually very lean, and you will get toned, but only in areas that you will be using to run. You're probably going to be very toned in your legs and your core. Do some extra training outside of running to get more toned.
