  1. if you run in the morning for the cooler hours, definitely have a fair size but healthy breakfast an hour or so before your run (so you dont get cramps).

if you're trying to lose fat, it doesnt help not eating. your metabolism is what burns fat and it doesnt start up for the day until you have something to eat.

that's one of the reasons breakfast is so important. not to mention, eating food with lots of nutrients and protein before a workout will really help you in the long run.

  2. If you run in the morning eat some toast or something small like fruit. My coach has also told me that your body has a 20 minute window after your done running where you should eat something really healthy i.e-fruit, protein, granola. The reason why you should eat something after is that your body is still 'excited' or 'active' so it can easily take the best nutrients out of what your eating. That way you wont be so hungry later on.

  3. just go anarexic.... HAHAHA!!! Just kidding, run in the morning. You should eat beforehand but eat an orange or two you shouldn't eat ALOT but just eat a little bit of food. Don't drink soda by the way...I hope you don't drink soda in the morning anyway that'd be kind of wierd....=)

    Best of luck!!!

  4. definitely eat before. there is debate over whether "fasted cardio" is helpful at all, but i think its best to have energy for your run. When u get your heart rate up(by running) your body wants to use the most readily available form of energy. fat is not it. sure if you were to just walk you'd be in that "fat burning zone", but overall less calories.

eat something light like fruit. bananas are always good, mostly cuz if u run hard and have to throw up, they taste the same coming up and they did going down. haha.

also post workout meal is important too. milk is a great post WO food. its got a great balance of protein, carbs, and fat.

then just eat lean and healthy the rest of the day. you'll get the weight off.

at the end of the day running will burn more calories and cals in vs cals out =  weight loss.
