  1. Yes, I think at the rate you saying sounds right. Don't over run yourself out in the beginning. This is a common  mistake when people begin to start running. Then they get tired of it and Quit. Gradually move up and by Spring you will see that you are able to run fast for a longer time without being out of breathe. Good luck.

  2. holy c**p your my twin I'm in seventh grade i play soccer I'm a left mid and I want to start training for track now! but i already run 1 mile everyday for soccer I'm going to be training by doing 3 miles everyday. with 100 pushups and 200 situps . I also came up with a theory for training for the mile, you see I'm going too run a 400 meter as fast as I can then a 30 second break, then run 400 meters then 30 seconds and so on, but everyday I'll take off one second until i get to 5 second breaks then i'll do 800 meters then 20 intil I'm sprinting the whole mile!!! good luck. where are you from?

  3. One piece of the puzzle to training is rest.

You body will get strong/faster at a quicker pace if you fully recover by resting 1 full day every so often.

Vary your workouts. Do some days of sprinting. Do some days of long, paced runs.

Add no more than 10% mileage per week.

If you feel sore take a day off. Soreness is your body's way to tell you to cut back a bit and rest.

Eat healthy foods. Get plenty of sleep each night too.

  4. yes, but if it's your first time then its not wise to run a mile. start out by running a half mile for the first week then gradually work your way up.

  5. Your tactic is great, you should see yourself getting used to the amount you run by the time its christmas!! (only if you commit yourself  everyday though..)

if your gonna start running, don't run around the block, but go to the park closest to you and do a few rounds. the natural souroundings help boost your ego.

    good luck! x

  6. I think you will, I like that you're taking it step by step.

Join your school's cross country team! if your schools offers that, you will run long distance, not too long if your in 7th grade, but it will be more fun on a team then by yourself and it will help your for track!

then when cross country is over, just keep training a lil, not too much though, you don't won't to get burnt out and tired.

  7. If you run a mile every day, by the end of the year you'll be over 100 miles away from home. :)
