  1. well just go out and run what ur going to run in the race and practice everyday or 1 day and the other rest and eat healthy drink water

  2. It all depends on the kind of race you will be running. If you are running two laps or less you have to do speed workouts. Speed workouts are usually repeats of a lap with a 2 minute rest in between. As time goes by you lower your rest time until it get down to one minute.  If you are running more than 2 laps then you have to do distance training. What you should do is run a mile and record your time. Then for the rest of the week you should run for about 4-6 miles a day at a steady pace. Not too fast and not to slow. You want to feel tired when you finish. At the end of the week run your mile once again and record your time. There should be some improvement. After that continue increasing your distance in your runs. You could start running from 8-10 miles. That is how i got my mile time to  3:52.  If you want to get really fast you should do distance run one day, speed workout the next day, and then anoter distance run the next day. Then you dont run the next day to let your body recover.  Then you do this process all over again. It will help you get faster. GOOD LUCK in your race.

  3. training is essential. The more you train, the higher your endurance and the faster you will get. It's probably best to start training now, however starting to train 2 weeks before the race is enough. good luck with the race.

One main point you need to remember is that it's a slow process. Best thing to do would be to time yourself each day running the same route and you will notice your speed getting quicker. Another key thing is to mak sure you don't run too fast to begin with, keep a steady pace and you'll be fine, if you run too fast, you'll tire yourself out. steady pace is key.

  4. Practise

    Practise

    Practise

and more practise i am afraid.

To get fast work on your breathing and possibly go to the gym and do a fast run on the treadmill is a good idea
