Running regime for a 13year old, any tips or help on how to get really good?

I am avergae on everything apart from my height. I am er... 5ft 10 inches. I have big bones and am currently average pace/stamina. My forearms and average and the top of my arms are skinny. Alot of information.

how far should I run at first and I will gradually go further.

any tips or other information.

  1. get a professional coach because u not only need to run but u need to do weights training


  2. no more than 2 or 3 miles until 16 otherwise while you grow you will get injurred. Dont over do it at 13, 14, 15 ,16, 17 years old.

  3. Try to run a mile without stopping the first day. If you can't, that's completely okay. You can stop and walk, jut make sure that you cover a mile. The next day, if you ran it without stopping, go 11/2 miles. If you didn't, try to go without stopping for just a mile every day till you can do it. Then, just add a 1/2 mile every day until you get used to longer distances, then set a goal with a time you want to get, and run with a stopwatch to try and break your times. you should take one day off a week and replace running with ab workouts, and possibly weight lifting for your chicken arms :) Runnings not going to help your arms.
