Running soreness?

Im new to running and i ran 1.5 miles everyday for 5 days. Today i woke up and my legs were in pain everytime i moved i could feel my muscle tighten. I walk for about 15 min and stretch before i run and after. Is this normal or should one run every other day instead of a continuous cycle? Thanks for all your help!

  1. What type of surface do you run on? I think it may be because you run on a hard surface? If so just run on the gravel next to the road, or the grass. But take it easy today.... ice your leg, maybe walk/bike your distance


  2. You need to walk and stretch after running, also try a 3 days on 1 day off schedule and gradually increase your mileage.
