1. This is called "runners knee". It could either be you're a beginner to running, or that your shoes are not a right fit/to many miles/worn down.

In any case, ice where it hurts, go to your local running shop and they will find a nice pair of shoes, for your feet. The cause of the pain is in your footstrike, because when your running you're not running on your knees, so when you run your shoes don't absorb as much shock as they should and your knees have to suffer instead.

  2. Its probably your legs getting used to hard running again, im guessing your season just started. But if i where you i would fill a bath tub with cold water and ice, and just sit in it for about 8 mins. it suchs but you feel great the next day.

    I hope i helped

  3. this is prolly just from overworking it too fast. your best bet is to ice it nightly and cut back on your running for 2 to 3 days until the pain resides

  4. Runner's knee is quite possible, other thing too is... do you stretch? If not you could actually be getting too stiff. but ya, most likely your shoes.

  5. Stop running for two or three days, and use a lot of ice. When you get back, run on dirt, grass, or basically anything besides pavement, which screws up your joints and tendons like nothing else. Also, keep stretching and stay hydrated. I'm guessing that its an overuse issue, in which case, general remedies like these usually work just fine.

  6. Rub deep heat cream on your knee before you jog. This will warm it up for you but will not take the pain away. Keep running and as your knee gets warmer and warmer the pain will go away.
