  3. 1. Compared to what? you should only be competitive with yourself for now, so compared to sitting a home on the couch - yes its excellent - well done you.

2.If you are starting from a no fitness base or no running, mix it up with walking intervals (ie walk 5mins run 1 repeat - see c25k programs on the web)

3.backs up my answer to no2.

4.yes, but it will ease, dont forget to warm down and strectch (very lightly) after your exercise to help

    5. again, dont bite off more than you can handle so early in a exercise program - going from 0 to running a mile is a big ask. so your lungs may pant and rebel the first few times out thats why i recommend walking intervals to help adjust and recatch your breath...

    Enjoy (if you can :-)

  4. I'm sorry to say this but I run the mile way below that, I could run it in 7.13 but if you are first starting out with running then thats another thing, if so thats good for first starting out. If you are first starting out with running then that is normal to get that feeling sometimes. And yes it is normal to get the cramps the day after since you tried your hardest and if your legs aren't used to it then it would happen. And yet yes again it is normal for your lungs to feel weird after you run since they are trying to adjust to what you have just been doing.
