  1. Those times aren't bad, but when I was a junior, I ran a 5:11 mile, an 11:32 two-mile, and a 57sec quarter mile.

I'm afraid I got smoked...a lot.  The guys in front were running mid-to-low four-minute miles, sub-ten two miles, and fifty-second quarters.

Keep going.  You never know what you might do with work and coaching.  And I have always been proud of my running.  Doing it is better than not doing it.

  2. dude im a 12 yr old girl and my time for 1500 was 6:25.... you got some work to do

  3. They are quite good times but normally you would run 3000m and 1500m. so if you run 1500m and 3000m you can compare them to records for your age group.

  4. dude... you got some work to do. my school sucks at track but i bet a few of the boys and girls that are now going into highschool could beat you easily.

  5. Anything is possible with hard work.  Yes, you do have hard work ahead of you and yes you do need to get faster.  I'm a 38 yr old man and run the 1600 in the 5:50's and the 3200 around 12:00 to 12:30.

  6. I just finished high school, my 1600 Meter time was a 4:45 and my 3200 time was an 11:05, I'm going to try to walk on at the University of New Mexico but it's going to be tough and they aren't known for being a running school. Those are good times if you are not trying to run in races or anything like that and you don't train, but if you are looking to get into your college track team, maybe you should look into a different sport...
