  1. dont wear high heals, they suck. try tennis shoes. dont try flip flops or they will fall off and hit someone in the face. :)

  2. Regular nike spike shoes are good for everything. For sprints, just run sprints lol.

More detail I assume you want.

    run a 3-2-1. Run 300 hundred meters 3 times, 200 2 times, and 100 1 time. All this on one day, then do a 4-3-2 on another day... 4 100, 3 200, 2 300. :D

Now for some more sprints workouts.

Run for 20 minutes strait, at atleast 75% speed, no jogging mister! Do that atleast 2 times a week.

Now that stuff is to maintain and gain, but for the real gainer of speed, do Fartlicks.. Jog for 2 minutes, sprint for 1 minute, jog for 2, sprint for 1 and do it so on so on..

Now far as high jump, all I can think of is, just working on vertical.

run stairs, one legged, feet together, appart, ect. ect. Do Bounding. Umm Pretty much all the track stretchs. Jump up and down for 60 seconds strait, trying to touch a ceiling of a room, and going high as you can each jump.

  3. When I did Track & Field, I wore Nike Zoom Rival D3's and they worked for sprints and all of my field events (long, high & triple jump). You should decide what events you're planning to do before you purchase shoes because they aren't always cheap. Check out Eastbay.com.

One thing we did when training for sprints was to run longer distances and running up hills/bleachers. We also did resistance training such as sprinting with parachutes or sleds (with weights) strapped to our waists.

I'm not really sure what to tell you about practicing for high jump seeing as how you wont have pits to practice on. One thing you could do is back bends to work on your back arch. Start laying on your back, feet and hands flat and push up. From there, progress to walking your hands a down a wall from a standing position. Eventually, you should be able to do a back bend from a standing position which would be somewhat similar to the arching motion that is used in high jump.

Sorry it's long but I hope this helps, good luck!
