  1. there really aren't any cons.

i run with my ipod all the time in track practice,

just hold it in your hand if you dont have a strap and it will be fine.

it is not harmful to the ipod. =]

    the pros are

you can run to the beat and have something to listen to while running! =D

  2. i prefer running with people but when i cant do that i think running with the pod is a great!! i think it can really pump you up and makes a loney run fun!! the only thing i would worry about is make sure you pay close attention to cars since you wont be able to hear them as well! have fun!

  3. Nothing wrong with using an ipod.  It doesn't affect anything

  4. personally i like to run with my ipod. It makes running even more enjoyable and also it takes my mind off the physicality of running and exhaustion i may feel. i guess it could slow down your times so i wouldn't recommend it for races or time trials. otherwise, for a fun run i would defiantly use an ipod.

  5. I believe there are pros and cons. I've been told that running with music in your ears slows you down, but I still run with my Ipod. Personally, I feel that music motivates me and pumps me up and I have to have it while I run. However, I was running a 10K in March, and for the first half I had my Ipod on, but then my battery ran out and I had to run with no music. i ended up beating my previous race times. I think it's because I tend to run in sync to the beat of the music, and the tempos vary, and it can slow me down when I'm trying to run.

But hey, if you're not racing or trying to make a certain time, then don't worry about it. And running with the Ipod hasn't proven to harm the ipod for me. But just to be safe I would get a protective cover for it and attach it to your arm.
