Rupert The Blue carrying above average chances in Oxford Owners Association Race
Wearing red jacket, Rupert The Blue is set to fancy his chances in the Oxford Owners Association Race, being held at Oxford on Thursday, May 10th.
The blue dog has been performing outstandingly over the past few weeks. After a below par effort at the start of last month, he picked up the winning momentum with a fantastic performance in a 450 metres heat on April 12.
A. Kibble’s trainee outsmarted Waste House Al by a length’s distance. He continued his good form when ran in a Grade IT event at the end of April.
The September-09 son of Droopys Scolari led the proceedings all the way through, defeating Another Episode by ½ a length. With such a terrific track record under his belt, the maverick hound is brimming with confidence.
Let’s see how he keeps his head high in today’s 450 metres race, which is scheduled to start at 22:20 GMT. The Grade A1 meeting has a cash prize of £80, which is reserved for the triumphant hound.
Rupert The Blue will show his skills against five powerful runners including West Bolt, Mucky Donal, Another Episode, Minnies Starlet and Liosgarbh Way.
West Bolt seems to be a major player tonight. After a couple of poor shows, the black dog put his campaign back on the winning ways at the end of last month.
In a similar heat at Oxford, Hondo Black’s son secured the top place despite getting crowded at the third bend. He beat Mucky Donal by two and a half lengths.
Another hound with fair chances is Mucky Donal. The brindle dog has the ability to get an early pace. However, he will have to maintain standards right through the race to pocket the winning cheque.
Minnies Starlet is in terrible form these days. Another Episode needs a slice of luck to do some damage. Similarly, Liosgarbh Way requires to come up with something special to prevail.
According to our calculations, Rupert The Blue will be able to notch up the top spot, only if he manages to control West Bolt and Mucky Donal. We wish the best of luck to everyone.
