Question:

Ruptured Spleen caused by extreme stress internalized anger?

I had a cat scan for something else and my doctor told me I had an enlarged spleen

I go through extreme amounts of stress and internalized anger and a few months ago I was going through my fits and felt something pop under my ribcage, and since then it has been giving me pinching pains

Is it possible to cause an enlarged spleen by extreme amounts of stress and internalizing anger? It only makes sense but everything I have read online said it is caused by other illnesses or other things wrong with you

I also suffer from the other symptoms such as shortness of breath and sometimes pain around that area

  1. I suppose it's not impossible. Stress obviously messes with your blood pressure and such, so as much as I'd guess that that wasn't the case, I suppose it could.

Why haven't you got a medical opinion since 'the pop'?
