Rurouni kenshin? what do you think of it?

I particularly liked the dubbed better than the subbed only because Kenshin's voice is done by a woman in the Japanese version.  Though there are a few things that are lost in translation so it's up to you on your preferences :)

I would say definitely continue it!  I wasn't too fond of the first season, only because it seemed like a "monster of the week" kind of show but the second and third seasons are to DIE for!  But I wouldn't recommend watching Samurai X. It shows how Kenshin got his scar and also what happens after the Rurouni series ends.  It's far more depressing and makes me want to cry each time I see it!

If you're into fighting and action scenes, I'd strongly suggest you continue it, though i don't necessarily recommend that you finish the entire series since the last couple of episodes are consisted of more or less fillers. I'd say, try to watch it until episode 60, then you can probably skip the 'less exciting episodes in between.

There are two good fights to anticipate in between those episodes (three if you'd count a showdown between Kenshin and a certain someone who plays a significant role in his life) the battle between Kenshin and Shishio and the showdown between Kenshin and Soujiro.

There would also be more character development for the two villains (though not the kind of 'long-term' development a hero gets) so you'll get to see them in a different light -- whether in a positive or negative way, that's for you to decide.

I prefer sub. Not that I have anything against dubs, there are just a lot of stuff that are lost in translation, not just the words or phrases itself, but also certain aspects of the culture as well. And since subs show animes in their original language, the feel of the scenes feels more appropriate as compared to dubbed versions.
