Liverpool legend, Ian Rush, has stressed the Reds to finish inside the top six this term, and believed that the team were headed in the right direction under Brendan Rodgers.
The 51-year old also observed that his former club haven’t had the lions share when it comes to having good fortune, but feels they need to be more clinical in the frontline.
It has been difficult sailing for the Merseyside outfit so far under Rodgers’ supervision. The team only recorded their first win of the campaign in their sixth match and have ended up on the losing side 4 times.

“I’d like to think we can finish in the top six. I think that is what they have got to do, and I think looking at the top six and the present form they are in, I still feel they can do it,” he told the reporters in an interview.
“They are not playing badly; they are playing well and have just been very, very unlucky and can’t finish teams off.”
Another major issue which needs the manager’s attention has been Liverpool’s inability to get the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Job-c18684 done at home. So far, they have only managed to chalk out 3 wins from 7 matches at their own citadel.
Although Rush admitted that beating the weaker oppositions in the league in away games was not always an easy task, he expected the Reds dispatch them at Anfield if they were to remain at touching distance with their rivals.
“It’s different away from home but at Anfield, we’ve got to win those games,” he added.
