Russanda Phil likely to prosper in the Grade OR Young Guns Stakes - Heat 1 at Sheffield
Grade OR Young Guns Stakes - Heat 1 is attracting greyhound race fans and enthusiasts. The race is scheduled to be held at Sheffield on 21st February, 2012. 6 hounds will be competing for the prize of £200 on a 480 metre racetrack.
The line-up consists of the following runners:
Russanda Phil,
Shes A Gallery,
Viking Cheryl,  
Dunham Collier,  
Anfi Belle, and
Lorry Cross.
Anfi Belle, daughter of Premier Fantasy, out of Anfi Pearl, has not been in her best form.
Trained by E. Wright, she finished in 5th place in her last race, which was held on 31st January, 2012, at Sheffield, in the Grade OR Owlerton Book Makers Puppy 480 race.
Russanda Phil, trained by E. Parker, has been doing consistently well.
He finished in 1 place, on 7th February, 2012 at Sheffield, in the Grade A2 500M Flat race. The son of Droopys Marco, out of Waycross Beauty, defeated Shes A Gallery by a neck.
On 18th February, 2012, Russanda Phil finished 3rd. He was beaten by Allen Tornado and Azzurri Westport, in the Grade A2 Night Continues At Napoleons Casino, at Sheffield.
Viking Cheryl, whelped on 15th June, 2010, has been finishing as a runner-up in the last two races.
On 3rd February, 2012, she was defeated by Slaneyside Arnie by a shoulder, at Doncaster.
On 18th February 2012, she was again defeated, this time by Stoneys Rocket by a 1 ¼ length.
Her trainer, J. Hayton, is hoping that the daughter of Royal Impact, out of Tromora Wish will bring her best game forward and secure a first place win this time.
Dunham Collier, daughter of Daves Mentor, out of Hesley Nikita, showed potential in her debut but the punters’ attention is shifting from her.
She finished in third place in her last race, the Grade OR Bookmakers Puppy, held on 16th February, 2012, at Henlow.
Lorry Cross has shown great potential in his previous races. In order to claim victory, the son of Droopys Maldini, out of Angies Dream, needs to go that extra mile.
Trained by H. Crapper, he finished second at Sheffield, in the Grade A3 Opoa Bonus Race, which was held on 14th February, 2012.
He was beaten by Boozed Sandy by 2 ½ lengths in 29.75 seconds.
Shes A Gallery, trained by B. Draper, has been finishing in placed positions in the last two races.
The daughter of Crash, out of Beautysmylovitz, finished in second place at Sheffield, in the Grade A2 500M Flat race, on 7th February, 2012.
She was beaten by Russanda Phil by a neck in 30.02 seconds.
Her next race was more successful as she finished in 1st place. On 14th February, 2012, she defeated Hi Major by 1 length.
According to the odds, Russanda Phil has the highest odds of winning, which are calculated as 11 to 4. He also enjoys the status of being race favourite.
The second place is likely to be secured by Shes A Gallery whereas Viking Cheryl is likely to finish in third.
