Russelena Barbie to carry forward her good work in Sheffield Stadium Ladies 480
Russelena Barbie, who ran very well in the Oaks, went well in a trial at Sheffield a few days ago, and looks in a great position to crush her rivals in Sheffield Stadium Ladies 480, to be held at Sheffield on Tuesday, January 15th.
The black b***h ran wonderfully at Wimbledon last month. She sealed a classy victory at the start of December, when defeating Jaytee Dancer by 1¾ lengths. Her progressive journey came to a halt, when she suffered a couple of consecutive losses.
After facing an embarrassing defeat at Wimbledon, the daughter of Black Shaw could not raise her game, and finished fourth in her previous encounter here. Despite a couple of shameful defeats, she did not lose confidence, and regained her momentum by running
superbly last time around.
In a trial run here on January 2nd, M. Cutler’s trainee seized the first rank by four and a quarter lengths. It was a dominating act, as she always led the proceeding, capturing the first rank with ease.
Although Russelena Barbie is facing far tougher opposition in today’s race, it is very hard to ignore her prospects after an exciting performance in the trials.
Among her opponents are: Farlow Holly, Demesne Loopy, Shelbourne Abi, Proper Nora, and Thurlesbeg Bid. The 480 contest is scheduled to begin at 20:14 GMT. A cash prize of 200 pounds is reserved for the successful hound.
Farlow Holly is far better than the recent form suggests. The white and black dog is well drawn, and cannot be taken lightly. B. Draper’s trainee, however, needs to bounce back in order to produce a positive outcome.
Demesne Loopy possesses smart early pace, but needs a clear passage to make an impression here. The white and black b***h is going through a lean patch, as she was third in her last two races.
Proper Nora needs a lid-pinger to give her rivals a race here. The black b***h won an open race here last month, but remained unlucky in an A2 meeting last time. Thurlesbeg Bid has won here before, but needs to ping today. Shelbourne Abi has some sparkling
split time around here.
