Russell Howard is in London on 2 different dates, 07/09/08 at Leicester Square Theatre, and again on 07/11/08 at the Hammersmith Apollo. The show in September only costs £5, but the one at the Hammersmith costs £15. Can anyone tell me what the difference between the shows is, and what one I should go see?

  1. Hey there

ok, so the one in Leicester Square is a gig called random musings, which is only an hour long, and it's Russell doing a gig off the back of audience questions-he answers them and goes off on tangents concerning the subject the questions asked was about, with a few bits of his new material squeezed in and used for closing gags. tis a nice experience, the theatre is small and it feels like an intimate chat around a camp fire with only the people at the gig understanding the back-references to things that've happened in the gig, it's wonderful (i went to see it in may)

The gig in November in Hammersmith is a proper new stand up show called "Dingledodies" and is more expensive cos of it's length and content i assume

if i were you, i'd go and see both cos Russell is so good at improv both gigs are going to be great and a totally different experience, it's what I'm doing.

if you can only make one, go to the November show, cos it's all new material, it's longer, and there is audience banter at every show russell does, it's his style

Hope I helped, enjoy the show you go to
