Russia VS The US? [WhenWhyWhatHowWho]?

Question

I don't get it, I may be behind on these news..

But why would Russia invade the US and when?

Would it have anything to do with Canada?

Explain it to me.

After witnessing the what happened in Georgia, that is just a stupid question. Russia's entire armored contingent could have been wiped out in a matter of minutes. Their vehicles were out of place 20 years ago.

They lost a Tupolev 22 they used as reconnaissance which means they have no drone capability. The Sukhoi 25's that they lost, they lost because their pilots are too inexperienced to fly below the 700 foot ceiling they need to prevent being shot down. Their smart bombs missed their targets regularly.

They suffered 74 dead, 19 missing and 200 including a general wounded and hospitalized. They should have been able to wipe out the Georgian Artillery within hours, instead they were taking hits right to the end.

Russia is not a modern military. Anything better equipped than Georgia and the out come would have been in doubt.

Russia may have won the conflict, but the lost much much more, because they provided the proof that their military is not capable of carrying out Putin's plans.

Georgia is a post soviet republic that is based in Euroasia.  It has nothing to do with the united states.  Now if you want something interesting look up operation Archangel.  We invaded the Communist Russians first!

Anybody who knows Russian culture knows that they are very proud and full of themselves. They may attempt something like that just because they have such faith in themselves, however unrealistic it would be. You see many failures in Russian history because they are unwilling to admit problems.

If you talk to any Russian, everything about Russian stuff is perfect, they have the best planes, they have the best tanks, they have the best ships, and are completely unwilling to admit any faults.

This is the kind of thing that caused the Russians to have unbelievable casualties against the Germans in WWII. It makes the Germans look pretty d**n good, but at the same time US forces killed far more Germans than the Germans killed of them. Out of all the Allied forces, the US sustained the fewest casualties, 500k, while the Russians sustained half of the casualties of the entire conflict, 29 million.

everyone should realize that the Russians will never invade US.that's impossible logically there is a question how can they do it when they have tanks which are about 60 years old.how can they invade US when u've seen what happened in Georgia.I live in Georgia and i know very well the Russian troops even dont have boots and some of them are even wearing trainers i mean just sneakers,when they entered Georgian barracks which were abondoned in the town of Gori which'd been bombed by russian soldiers they found some boots and some clothes of our Georgian troops u should have seen it what was their reaction they were so happy and immediately began trying them;i can tell u what they were saying(it was shown in News so everybody watched it): "****, look at georgians clothes look at their beds,**** and we are living just like beggars we dont have anything..."

All right,i think thats absurd i mean talking about as if Russia will invade US or something kinda like that ...They are hungry,they've been robbing people here for these last two days or so(even after the Russians have signed a document of ceasing fire and leaving Georgian territory) taking away some products such as bread,cucumber and so on.

so do u think that its possible to invade a country with such hungry and bare-footed troops?! i dont think so!

Georgians've just had a war with them and all the international organisations were by our side trying to deal with this problem. Just think of it : our small country managed to overthrew 19 Russian airplanes,actually defeated them so its really impossible that Russia will be able to defeat US or Canada and invade these huge countries !!!

Shew your WAY off!

No no no. Nothing is happening. Russia and Georgia (the country of) are having a pissing match over two areas. Both areas are states in Georgia. Both want to seperate grom Georgia (democratic) and rejoin Russia as they once called themselves "Russians".

America is allies with Georgia. We are warning Russia to respect Georgias land. We dropped relief supplies to the thousands displaced and have sent diplomats to p**s Russia off more.

its Soviet Georgia, a former province of the United Soviet Socialist Republic. It is now an independent and democratic nation and our main ally in the Eastern Bloc. This is not the State of Georgia  just above Florida
