Russia and Turkey. Do they have any Ties with Each other?

Now with the current conflicts between Russia and Georgia, i was wondering does Russia have any Ties with Turkey like defense links etc.

Just asking because we have Russia to the north of Georgia and Turkey to the south, and if Russia and Turkey were allied and they went to war...Georgia would be screwed.......
