In aftermath of the outcome, Sergei Ignashevich has expressed his satisfaction over winning the first match of the European campaign. However, he has admitted that his side could have scored eight more goals had they taken all
their chances.
“Yes, in the first few minutes Czechs owned initiative but we played well in defence and gradually seized the initiative. The Czechs were very active in the game but we got space for quick counterattacks. Therefore, goals flowed
from the general pattern.” The UEFA Super Cup winner was quoted as saying.
Ignashevich went on to assure the fans of a promising European campaign this time around, insisting that they are more confident.
