Russia is asking for a war...?

What ever happens now there will be a war between the American's and Russian's. The cold war started when they both had suspicions about nuclear weapons and that lasted year's. Now Russia have threatened poland with a nuclear strike, there's going to be more fear's about nuclear weapon's so we'll either get another cold war or another war like Iraq (But it would be ww3). The Iraq war started because the American's suspected that Iraq was making nuclear weapon's (Still no proof they were) and Russia have basically told the world they have them.

I was just going to post exactly the same question. I am scared of whats going to happen. It will be ww3. Scary times. The russians said they will use nuclear weapons and launch a strike if the states help out poland. I hope it gets sorted nuclear war is my biggest fear.

You may not remember this, but in the 60s when J.F. kennedy was the president of America. The Russians under Gorbachov tried to set up nuclear missiles on Cuba. Kennedy insisted that these missile bases must be removed as they were very close to America. Russia refused, so the American navy blockaded Cuban waters to prevent any missiles being landed at Cuba. Russia threatened to take military action if their ships were not given clearance to enter Cuba. kennedy replied that the american navy would stay. For 5 days, the world teetered on the brink of a Nuclear War. Eventually the Russians backed down, and war was averted. Now America is doing exactly the same by placing missile sites close to the Russian border, and they expect Russia not to object to it, as the Americans did to the Cuban missile bases.

Do you really think that anyone with inside intelligence really imagined that the Iraqis were making nuclear weapons?

Don't you know that this search for Iraqi "weapons of mass destruction" was officially abandoned last year?

And are you really unaware that the Russians have and flaunt a nuclear arsenal comparable to that of the US, and that we have been in that position for over 50 years?

Is there any area other than politics (and maybe religion) where people feel entitled to express opinions about matters of the greatest importance on the basis of total ignorance?

No. Bush can talk but we have nothing free to even pressure Russia with in terms of limited war. And even "W" is not stupid enough for nuclear. At least we all better hope so......

What rubbish, where do you get your information ! From those war mongers in the Pentagon I expect. Russia has not threatened Poland for nearly 400 years in the time of Knight Michael the great in 1619. When Ivan Susanin lead the Polish army into the woods the wrong way to protect Russia, and lead them into a swamp where they all died.

If I remember correct the cold war started right after WWII, nothing to do with nuclear weapons.

Germany attacked Russia, because Russia wanted to attack the west to bring Communism till the Altantic Ocean.

Amerika used that fact to attack Germany from the west.

The cold war was nothing more than keeping communism in the east.

I can remember also after the fall of the Soviet-Union that there has been said, they would it take it back.

Don't forget, the start of the fall of the soviets has been financed by the Vatican and by the us.

YOu really believe America's words that shield is for states who attack the west with nuclear weapons like Iran.

If a country like Iran treatens you, i would put my shield in the south, greece, italy, romania, like this countries, not poland.

If you put it there it is for stiching Russias eyes. Nothing more.

I just hope that they are smart enough and not start that new big war.

Russia has been pushing its luck for generations because it wants control of the world . But they have never been the brightest spark in the fire . one day they will push there luck to far and become extinct. because if it became a choice between Russia or America , there is not a country in the world would want Russian brutality and disgusting army in there country and they will be on there own .

Agree with Research. Russia didn't threaten to strike Poland. General Nogovitzin just said that Russian missiles will be aimed at the rocket site there. We have long had American rockets aimed at Russian and v.v. There's nothing new about it.
