Please show your sources. My grandmother said yesterday's news reported that Russia had about 50,000 to our 5,000. Haven't been able to confirm these numbers.Sounds like Russia has been lying about "arms control" imagine that!

  1. Does it really matter?  There are enough to blow us ll to h**l several times over.

  2. I don't think you should worry because if they destroy the world, who will be left to rule over or sell goods to. Everything will go back to the beginning of time with the animals who survive deciding what's good for mother earth. There's already one idiot in this country and another in the other country so watch out everybody or be prepared to spend more money for more weapons and more wars........

  3. What difference what parity? If war will begin ten bomb will suffice to destroy the world...

If the McKein will win elections at you, this stupid cowboy will precisely finish the world to war...

  4. the answer is irrelevant, as we both have enough to singlehandedly destroy the world.  even if they have 1 million and we have 5,000, they are just as dead.

  5. russia has approx. 5,500 ACTIVE nuclear warheads!

usa has approx. 4,500 ACTIVE nuclear warheads!

russia has approx. 14,000 TOTAL(including active and inactive) nuclear warheads!

usa has approx. 5,000 TOTAL(including active and inactive) nuclear warheads!

  6. no one knows and will never know

we could have a million by now.

we have military secrets that nobody knows about

  7. Not to call your grandma a liar or anything, but the real answer is: nobody knows, and nobody will be alive when we do know.

First off, the US keeps secrets from us about the tiniest little things.  We're the citizens and tax-payers, yet we aren't "allowed" to know any statistics about our own country.  My dad basically manages the negotiations/presentations of missile and defense system sales for his company (Raytheon).  He also represents the US when "selling" missiles to foreign countries.  But something he's told me my whole life - when I ask about details of business trips or even his job - is that, "It's on a need-to-know basis".  There's really no way of telling how many nukes we have...  Now think about this:  If we had A LOT of them, wouldn't it be a huge risk to tell people about it?  Then, other countries would start freaking out and trying to "1-up" us.  If we had a decent amount - then it wouldn't be a big deal to go public with the figures.  So you can kinda see that we do in fact have a pretty big stash of them.  Exactly how much, or roughly.... Nah, don't waste your time thinking about it.

Russia has always been pretty secretive.  I'm sure they have plenty as well since they've always been a very militaristic country, as well as very proud.  With pride, comes the desire to be the best... And with the way things are nowadays - they surely know that they need to stock up.  And probably have.

I really don't think it'll matter anyways... When something happens, and the real WWIII breaks out; the world will probably come to an end.  I'm not sure if we just don't realize it, or maybe we do, but when all the countries freak out and start launching their nukes, it doesn't matter who it hits, or if it gets shot down.  The sheer force of all the explosions is going to cause unfathomable natural disasters around the world.  The destruction will ruin everything, and kill everybody.

Hmm I had a thought actually.... WWII started not too long after the Great Depression, and I'm pretty sure it was one of the "causes" of WWII.  And right now, the US is headed into another depression...  Just a thought, idk.

  8. I'm more interested in our missle defense systems that we have been investing billions of dollars in

  9. Numbers here I think are irrelevant.  You could give a blind man a .45 and 100 clips, while giving a trained professional a 9mil with one round.  Who's going to get who first?  Besides, I don't even think Russia's crazy enough to push the button without being cornered first.

  10. If CO2 emissions have screwed with the weather enough for scientists to be concerned no sane world power (even Iran) is going to drop any number of nukes.  There are no advantages to nuking in reality it is merely the leverage of the threat that makes them any use nowadays.  Nuking anywhere on the planet is like burning a neighbouring suite in the same apartment you live in to get back at someone and in the process burning your whole building up.
