I've been asking people on YA how to speak with a russian accent, and I've gotten some very helpful answers. I just wanted to see if all these tips are accurate. It's very confusing trying to remember all the tips when speaking with a russian accent, lol. Ok, here I go:
*W becomes V (Vater, What)
*V becomes W (Wodka?)
*Roll R's
*TH sounds like S or Z (This=Zis)
*ING sounds like INK
*G becomes K (Bag=Back)
*D=T (Dead=Deat)
*V=F (Love=Lof?)
*O becomes Ah (SanFranciso=San Franciska)
*OO for Y? (Don't really understand this, if some could help me with thatm it would be appreciated).
*Z as S, B as P (Zebra=Sebra, Blood=Plood?)
*H sounds like "Hach".
*Something about a T sound (Would appreciate any help with this too).
*Emphasize I's
Am I right about these tips? Is there a list of words that I can practice that will help me with all of these rules? There's so many rules, and while I don't sound bad, I want it to sound as real and authentic as possible. So if anyone has any ideas or words I can practice on, that would be great. Thanks so much =)
