Russian Conflict: How will it end?

Question

How will this present crisis in Georgia and the world be resolved... will it end with Russia signing a ceasefire or capturing the entire nation of Georgia? Or will this conflict only escalate into an American/Israeli attack on Iran, etc.?

What do you think about what seems to resemble a blockade of Iran in the making?

Look at this map and see how far Russia has gone.   It's obvious Russia lied -- this is not about South Ossetia.

It will end when russia wants it to end bush is a laughing stock and his runway oil prices have not enriched him but also Putin who is using his nations new foumd oil welath to flex his military muscles. The russians and or the chinese peroidically have to shut bush and Amandinjad up when they bluster like school yard bullies

Chavez is also growing in strength thanks to the immense failure that is bush

Now that Putin has the government under his thumb, it is time for the rebirth of the Unbreakable Union.

I fully expect to see those T-90s rolling through Tbilisi in a couple of weeks. A few protests will be issued by the US but that will be it.

Russia is not going to idly stand by and allow NATO to surround her borders; that is what this war is really about. Ukraine could be next...

no one will do anything, there will be tough talk and warnings but its in russian military doctrine that any big power gets into a war with russia, then russia will respond with nuclear weapons! so unless a nation wants to sign its own death certificate, then nothing and no one will do jack! i imagine russia will kill saakashvilli! what is anyone gonna do? russia has enough nuclear weapons to detonate this entire planet 20 times over! so russia will end it when it wants in its own time and its own way! but i can almost guarantee it that saakashvili wont be the president when this war is finished!

I may liken this situation to that when Kuwait was suddenly invaded by Saddam Hussein's Iraq.   First there was this so-called troops build up on the Kuwaiti-Iraqi border on the pretext of an Iraqi armed exercise until one morning the world woke up with Iraqi already clutching Kuwait that easy after an early dawn attack!   The world was seemingly caught by surprise. A very rich country,  Kuwaitis were helpless.. its leader was begging for  help amidst the world silence..until the US responded in full force. Sometimes I wonder, what if the US did not intervene?  Who will lead?
