Russian MMA fighter Fedor Emelianenko to enter the UFC ring in the near future – UFC News
The Russian mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter, Fedor Emelianenko, has been one of the most dominating MMA fighters in the world. Standing at 6ft in height, Emelianenko has been one MMA fighter who is feared by all of his opponents.
He has never appeared in any fight with the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). Reports have come in that Emelianenko could get a chance to have his first bout with the UFC in the near future.
Emelianenko’s claim to fame came with the Pride Fighting Championships or the Pride FC, which is the world’s biggest MMA organization with headquarters in Japan. With the Japanese fighting organization, Emelianenko has been associated
with June 2002 when he made his successful debut against Semmy Schilt. Emelianenko made his MMA professional debut in May 2000 against Martin Lazarov at the RINGS event.
The Russian fighter, nicknamed The Last Emperor has been a demolition machine throughout his career with only four losses. He has won thirty-two fights in his career making him a force to reckon with. With such an impressive winning
run, the UFC officials would certainly want the Russian to be on the UFC fighter’s list.
UFC officials and management are in the hunt of the moment when Emelianenko enters the UFC octagon fight ring and makes history. UFC’s parent company, Zuffa, LLC purchased PRIDE FC in 2007. Fighters with the likes of Mauricio Rua,
Mirko Filipovic and Wanderlei Silva crossed over from PRIDE FC into the UFC. Emelianenko was the only one fighter on the PRIDE FC who did not made the transition to UFC.
According to the Russian, he is eager to take part in a fight in UFC, which is the largest MMA promotion company in the world. Emelianenko said "I compete on international level, in MMA and Combat Sambo and I represent my country.
And I think there can't be better stimulus. It's about titles. Of course I would like in UFC too, but to this day, all the times we had negotiations with them…possibly they have allergy on me, and for some reason we can't make an agreement now. But I have
a desire to compete in UFC."
Emelianenko was never inclined to be part of the UFC or to fight inside the UFC ring. But in recent days, it seems as if the Russian is having second thoughts about his decision to be with the UFC. While giving an interview to
a sports media firm, the Russian fighter shared his views, which indicated that Zuffa, LLC officials and his personal manager were unable to close any deal for Emelianenko to content a fight at the UFC.
