  1. no i think you will be fine

  2. In New York?

Non issue. New Yorkers won't be bugged by something like that.

It's only lame middle americans who fear symbols of other lands. New York is still an open minded place.

  3. Dont be ashamed of your heritage , fly the flag with pride , and Russia was on the right side of the conflict. SLava Russiya

  4. Hm...I really don't think people would care. ^^

If you're really worried about attracting negative attention, but you reaaally want to wear it, just make it smaller if you can.

But. well, i don't think people would actually recognize the flag. xP

I would, and maybe I'd ask why you put it there, are you russian, what's it like there if you've been there, etc.

Someone *might* make a comment, but I highly doubt he'd harrass you.

My sixth-grade teacher was Russian and she was waaayy cool!! She'd try to teach us a new word every day. I loved it xD

"Siet, siet!"     :/ i probably didn't spell that right, but she used to yell at us to sit down a lot. :P

Oh and in jr. high, a girl moved here from Russia (she was recently adopted by Americans), and no one had a problem with her. they were genuinely interested.

...but then again, I do live in California. The reaction may be different in the midwest. But you're in New York, so I'd say you're fine. :)

  5. Get a smaller flag and honestly I think most non-Russians don't even know what the Russian flag looks like. Or at least I don't lol sad but it's the truth.

  6. Most Americans won't know what the h**l it is. They may ask what it is, but they won't really know unless they are really smart. I would but that is because I know stuff about the world. I really don't find any offense to it, it is you heritage and you have the right to fly any flag. I am German and I fly a German flag all the time, but also fly American flags. If someone calls you a commie, they are dumb, because the Russian Federation is far from being commie today, infact they are closer to nazism then communism, so don't fret. If their is a Georgian(by some strange circumstance) then just continue your day and don't be offensive, if he is offensive it is his problem.
