Russian striker http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roman-Pavlyuchenko-c31639 looks to be heading towards Tottenham Hotspur exit
Roman Pavlyuchenko, the Tottenham Hotspur striker, revealed he was willing to accept a deal to any club as long as there was a guarantee of regular first team football. The Russian forward has fallen out of favour with Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp
over the seasons and has finally made his desire to leave White Hart Lane clear due to lack of regular football.
The 29-year-old had a chance of regaining his place in the first team, but those were considerably reduced with the arrival of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Emmanuel-Adebayor-c12526 on a season long loan from Manchester City. The fact that Adebayor has struck a highly successful partnership
with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Jermain-Defoe-c18359 will also not help Pavlyuchenko’s cause as the Russian waits for his opportunity to return to first team action.
Pavlyuchenko said in an interview:
“I love Tottenham. The team is like my second family but if nothing changes I will agree to any loan deal. In fact, to any deal which gives me the chance to play permanently.”
While Pavlyuchenko claimed to love the London club, where he has been since 2008 after leaving local side Spartak Moscow, he admitted he could no longer stay. The striker revealed he was even willing to leave Tottenham Hotspur on a loan deal, as long as
it meant he had a chance at playing, having reached what he believes to be the peak of his career.
Recently, Redknapp has only been using Pavlyuchenko in Europe and for the Cup matches, something the striker is not satisfied with. The fact that he has entirely been dropped from the English Premier League line-up could only mean that the Spurs boss also
does not consider him an important enough part of the squad, which is why he has been reserved for what many would consider the lesser competitions.
He revealed:
“I only make it into the starting line-up in the Carling Cup and Europa League matches.
That's the reality. So my goal on Thursday is unlikely to influence my future at Spurs.”
After a total of 107 appearances in all competitions, with 40 goals, most of which Pavlyuchenko grabbed after coming on as a substitute, he is ready for change. It seems highly likely that the Russian could be heading out in the upcoming January transfer
window, most likely on a loan deal with the possibility of making it a permanent deal depending on both parties.
The Russian added:
“I want changes. My new situation is not simple at the moment. We're getting very close to the European Championship. I have to make a decision.”
