it's under the deck where the ladder goes a pretty big hole and a feel pin holes, i'm figuring i could remove what rust i can then spray rustoleum paint on the part that i couldn't get off, use one of those metal mesh patch things used for cars it has the sticky side and then go over that with bondo.

my question is will the pool liner to have a reaction to the bondo?

thx

  1. Sounds like you have some good ideas..........could you wait till the end of the season and drain your pool...........get a pop rivet gun and some pieces of metal and go to work........if not is there a way to get some tin foil in between your metal and liner......I've had a couple of them..........but never your problem sooooooooo.......I would drain it....and fix it.......if it were my baby.........the tin foil thought is to stop the bondo heat...............and chemical reaction......and it may stick to the liner.........and I think it would....If...it sticks to those cheap plastic Corvets:)lol....that ought to get me some points........the owner probably has one.........and will boot me......bye and good luck
