Rust behind paint work?

I am looking a getting a 1974 one tonner car, it looks very clean and rust free on body but it has been painted 10 months ago, is the anyway of checking for rust behind the paint work?

  1. yes there will be bubbles in the paintwork. if they are small (about the size of this o )     it could develop into rust.      


  2. Get a magnet and run it over the areas you think may have a lot of rust.  If the magnet doesn't stick to the car, it's rust.
