Rust-colored secretions from nose?

last week i had colds and when I blow my nose it produces clear secretions. After the clear secretions, I started having rust-colored secretions when I blow my nose (i believe it is blood, but it is not bright red). No I dont have cough, no sputum either. And I just got tested for TB, and im negative. Right now, I am ok. No more colds with rust-colored secretions, but i feel some tightness in my upper chest. I wonder what is wrong with me though? I am scheduled for an MD consult tuesday, but I need to know what you think my problem is....nurses, doctors out there??? thank you!

  1. It's dried up blood, you could have had a very light bloody nose - it dried up but the force of you blowing your nose pushed the dried blood into the mucus coming out. Not to worry..
