Rustys Bar to bash first position in Post TV Stakes
Rustys Bar will convincingly carry the day when he runs in the William Hill Supporting Racing Post TV Stakes on Wednesday night at Newcastle racecourse.
The R. Kirk-trained white and brindle dog is going to capitalise well on his ongoing purple patch in a bid to claim the ace title tonight. The veteran hound will face Lilys Tiptop, Pantone Deal, Pretty Amanda, Auction House and Nana Tess.
The Grade A1 contest over a distance of 480 meters is scheduled to start at 11:28 (GMT). The prize purse contains £118.
Rustys Bar has been enjoying immense momentum since the dawn of 2012. After bagging a couple of consecutive victories in January, the dashing dog achieved an epic triumph along with two runner-up ranks in the month of February.
The four-year-old experienced hound won a race by a big margin of 4 lengths on March 29. He moved ahead to finish first in his last outing on April 17.
Overall, the talented son of Ballymac Kewell out of Rustys Rachel owns a terrific track record that he is keen to maintain in the coming days as well.
If Rustys Bar runs to his utmost and manages to take an early lead after the break call, his chances to finish first will be as high as 95 percent.
However, Auction House and Pretty Amanda have enough potential to upset the results.
Auction House won two races in a row during March 2012. The novice runner moved ahead to achieve two triumphs along with three runner-up positions in the month of April.
On the other hand, Pretty Amanda registered a fabulous hat-trick in February 2012. The P. Rutherford-trained white and blue b***h earned a couple of runner-up ranks each in March and April. She elegantly finished first in her last start on April 21.
In this situation, a fierce battle is expected at Newcastle tonight. Rustys Bar will have to fight with his back to the wall in order to thrive. Good luck to all the contestants.
