Ruthless Detroit Pistons crush Phoenix Suns by 40: NBA Recap
Detroit Pistons destroyed Phoenix Suns 117-77 here at the Palace of Auburn Hills on Wednesday night, winning by a margin of 40 points for the first time since 2007.
It was a complete team effort from the Pistons as 5 players found themselves in the double digit scoring figures and two players missing out by just a point each. Brandon Knight led the pack with 19 points and 6 assists, Charlie
Villanueva posted 19 points and 6 rebounds, going 4 out of 5 from the three point range, while Rodney Stuckey finished off with 18 points for the home team.
"Any time a person ... comes off the bench and can knock down shots like that, it's always a boost for the team. [Villanueva has] definitely given us a boost since he's been in the rotation and, hopefully, he continues to play
well." Coach Greg Monroe commented on Villanueva, who had a season high 19 points.

the game was all square on 24.
Scola made a hook shot for the Suns in the early going of the second period that left them trailing 28-30. The Pistons found their groove as they started pulling ahead and were up 42-33 after Villanueva one home from downtown and
has pushed their advantage to 55-44 by the end of the period.
Detroit started the second half in an explosive mood. A Greg Monroe dunk shot extended their lead to 19 points early in the third period. A 9-0 run then cemented their authority as they went up 74-48. The Pistons were leading 81-60
when they headed into the final period.
Detroit completed the rout in style when they outscored the Suns 36-17 in the fourth quarter. The Pistons went on rampage with a 28-2 burst, which included 5 shots from behind the arc to push their lead to 109-67. After that assault
