Ruthless Strauss, Serene Misbah, Thunderstorm on its way – Cricket News Update

In just about a week’s time, the world’s number one Test team, England, will clash with the most unpredictable team of the world, Pakistan. http://www.senore.com/Cricket/AJ-Strauss-c964 has called upon his players to be merciless without offering the Men in Green any chance to capitalize
on.
Well prepared and eager to win the series against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Pakistan-c755, Strauss, on Friday, asserted that his team needs to get onto the Pakis right from the start in order to give them competitive cricket.
Here’s what he said:
“We want to get that intensity right from the start. This series against Pakistan isn’t one we’re going to struggle for motivation in as we know they are a very good side especially in these conditions. But it’s important we take this opening game and the
opposition seriously. We’re not looking to ease into this fixture as it’s vital we create some early momentum with a win.”
On the other hand, Misbah, the Pakistani skipper known for his unruffled spirit and composed attitude, maintained, “I am sure the boys will do the same hard work, show responsibility and play to their potential against England who are the best Test team
at the moment. We know how tough it is going to be, so we are ready for that.”
Both the captains are eagerly looking forward to the series to grave their team’s name as the best one of 2012. Even though the Men in Green were highly unmotivated after the spot-fixing scandal by three of their players in 2010, they sprung up well in 2011
proving that their spirits are still high.
Strauss is well aware of the volatility of Pakistani players, and so he wants to ensure that his side is not overtaken by the green waves. Strauss, yesterday at a press conference, maintained that he is not pressurized by the fear of losing the number 1
title. However, many analysts are of the view that the English players might be overburdened with the thought of being dethroned if they do not maintain their dominance right from the start.
For now, both the teams are practicing hard to make sure they are ready for the final round.
