  1. not "ruts" -ROOTS.  killing them will only damage the soil for a long time.  dig the roots up.

  2. when i remove trees i poison the stump with deep root you can buy it from diy shops costs about a fiver 7.50 euros if you have trouble getting hold of it just look  for something similar in diy shop, next option stump grinder,  dearer option ,a 13 year old tree wont really cause any damage unless its right next to the property even then it will be minimal ,good luck

  3. The blue powder that Linda mentioned is probably some form of copper sulphate.

Essentially you should take advice from a professional. I would always get the stump ground out by a pro stump grinder. But there may be issues with the effects of soil heave on your house (although at 13 years old i doubt the tree has caused any major problems).

The rule of thumb is; if there are problems with the roots on the house, you will get problems if you remove it, if there aren't any visible problems with the house you should be ok to grind the stump out without any detrimental effect.

But ask a tree surgeon to come and look at it first.

  4. My parents had a similar problem and they went to their local garden centre, whatever they were given did the trick, some wierd blue powder, just ask and they'll be able to help you, I'm from Dublin if thats any help.

  5. get in a professionall..roots are buggers....reall hard to get rid of...

anyone help with my question please ...x
