Hamburg striker Ruud Van Nistelrooy has asked for some time to think about a possible return to former club Real Madrid.
Nistelrooy has been strongly linked to a move back to Real Madrid, who are short of a striker owing to a season-long injury to top scorer Gonzalo Higuain. He said that he needed time to think over the issue as the decision would be one of the hardest ones
in his long and successful career.
According to reports, Ruud has fired a warning to Hamburg that should they refuse the transfer bid, he would never play for them again. However, his performance against Schalke highlighted that he has a good relationship with his current club. The 34-year-old
striker scored the only goal in Hamburg’s impressive victory against Schalke 04 in the German Bundesliga on Saturday.
The director of the club, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Bastian-Reinhardt-c7373 expects the 34-year-old to stay put. He was well aware of the excitement Nistelrooy must have felt for getting a call-up from Real Madrid, but the director denied any such offers for the player.
Reinhardt added that it would be very difficult for the club to let go of the player who has been outstanding in the season.
The director therefore urged the player to consider his current contract and make his decision wisely.
Ruud spent four successful seasons with Real Madrid, winning the La Liga twice. He had the best scoring rate during his time and was considered one of the best players inside the penalty area. In his 94 games for Real, Nistelrooy scored 64 times before securing
a move away to Hamburg in 2010.

With half a season still to play, Real need some covering for their young centre forward and Van Nistelrooy seems to be the answer with his experience and expert
finishing.
